What drinks do you sell?

Our taproom is where you can try out the full range of our beers - there's nothing quite like drinking beer from the source! We have an ever-changing menu of not only our beers but also a selection of carefully chosen craft beer from around the NE and beyond. On top of that we also sell some of the best craft cider in the UK as well as a range of spirits and soft drinks.

When are you open?

Our taproom is open every Friday and Saturday from 12 noon until 10pm and every home matchday. We are also open every other thursday for our bi-weekly Pop Culture Quiz and for special events - keep an eye out on our facebook page for upcoming events here. 

Do I need to book?

No, not usually, just show up, head to the bar then grab a table if there's one free. Some events are ticketed but those tend to be few and far between. For our quiz nights we ask people to message us to book a table to avoid disappointment as it can fill up. 

Do you serve food?

We don't serve food but we regularly have pop-up food vendors on site for busier events. Keep an eye out on socials for what's happening.

Can I bring my dog?

Sure, we love dogs. All we ask is that you keep them on the lead at all times. We've got bowls for water behind the bar in case your canine friends needs some hydration. 

Can I bring my kids?

Yes, our taproom is child friendly and we sell soft drinks. We even have some games to keep them entertained.

Can I hire your venue?

Yes, provided the date doesn't clash with an existing event we do allow private bookings. Our venue holds up to 60 people so it's ideally suited to birthday parties or company events. Get in touch at info@vaux.beer to enquire about availability.
